My aspiration to serve as the Southwest Zonal Representative on the Board of the Nigeria Hockey Federation is born out of a deep conviction that the Southwest region can and must reclaim its rightful place as a leading force in Nigerian Hockey. Today, our zone lags behind in development, innovation, and performance, despite the abundance of talents and opportunities available. I am committed to bridging the gaps, restoring unity, and setting a clear path toward excellence.

To transform Southwest Hockey into a model of innovation, fairness, and excellence in Nigeria, where every state and every player has equal opportunity to grow, compete, and excel.

- Unity and Fair Representation
End the era of favoritism and “Animal Farm” treatment within the zone.
Build a strong working relationship with stakeholders from all six Southwest states.
Ensure fairness, inclusivity, and equal opportunity for every state without bias.
- Grassroots Development: “Catch Them Young”
Introduce Hockey in primary and secondary schools through PE curriculum integration.
Donate essential hockey equipment to schools and communities.
Organize regular grassroots tournaments to identify and motivate young players.
Provide incentives that encourage participation and passion for the sport.
- Infrastructure Development through Partnerships
Pursue public-private partnerships to address the challenge of inadequate infrastructure.
Attract corporate sponsors to build and improve training facilities across the region.
Ensure accessibility to quality hockey grounds and modern equipment for athletes.
- Talent Identification and Nurturing
Scout and groom young players across all states of the Southwest.
Provide international exposure by sending players to tournaments and training camps.
Support coaches with training, workshops, and global exchange programs to keep them up to date with hockey innovations.
- Innovation and Excellence
Position the Southwest as the pacesetter in Hockey development in Nigeria.
Encourage teamwork at all levels of leadership, replacing one-man-show approaches with collaborative governance.
Elevate the Southwest zone to the top among other regions within four years.
Legacy and Promise
If elected, I want to be remembered as “The Transformer” – the leader who brought unity, fairness, and innovation, and who restored the glory of Southwest Hockey through teamwork, grassroots development, modern infrastructure, and international exposure.
Together, we will build a Southwest that inspires, competes, and triumphs.
